What the program is all about:
In a nut shell, EWH is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that "mobilizes the biomedical engineering community to improve the quality of health care in hospitals that serve resource-poor communities of the developing world." The program I participated in is one of many programs that EWH is involved with. With the summer institute, I was involved in intensive Swahili classes as well as lots of training to fix medical equipment. My partner and I then applied our newly acquired skills we learned over the first month at Mt. Meru Regional Hospital. We spent the next month busy as can be trying to repair everything we got our hands on.For more information you can visit: http://www.ewh.org/
Below you can find my schedule while I was there along with a video of my partner and I's secondary project at Mt. Meru
